MASTERPLAN DESIGN FOR QODS 44-HRCTARE TOURIST CITY: RECREATIONAL, COMMERCIAL, AND CULTURAL COMPLEX – WEST TEHRAN
This project entailed the master planning of a massive 440,000-square-meter multi-purpose complex in Qods City, developed in collaboration with Arian Pajouhan Pars Consulting Engineers. The core objective was to harmonize diverse functions—including tourist, commercial, and cultural facilities—with the site’s significant Qajar-era historical heritage and existing gardens. To balance modern development needs with preservation, the design strategy established a “Green Tourist Complex” with a strict car-free policy, prioritizing environmental sustainability and the integration of historical assets.
The architectural approach employs a precise zoning hierarchy to optimize circulation and privacy. Public high-traffic amenities are positioned at the entrance, transitioning into a semi-private core centered around the historical buildings, and culminating in a secluded residential zone for maximum tranquility. A central axis delineates service access while maintaining a pedestrian-dominant environment. The residential component includes diverse luxury villa typologies designed for visual privacy, featuring private pools and exclusive green spaces to elevate the user experience within a sustainable national tourism center.
